Overtake X debuted in 2025 and is a simple arcade driving game made by an indie developer. There are no races or tracks. You’re just dropped onto a road full of traffic. The car keeps moving. Cars keep coming. The only real goal is to survive longer than the last run and push the score higher.
The game gets going fast. At first, traffic is light and forgiving. Then it closes in. Lanes fill up. One bad move and the run is over. That’s pretty much the loop.
On mobile, the controls are on screen or use tilt. Either way, the car reacts quickly. Oversteering is the fastest way to crash.
Early runs in Overtake X feel calm, almost too easy. That’s where most crashes happen. Speed builds up quietly, and traffic stacks faster than expected. Passing cars closely boosts the score, but it also tightens the space you have to work with.
There’s no setup phase. No upgrades to think about. You just drive and react. Most runs end because of hesitation or turning too hard at the wrong moment.
Overtake X works because it doesn’t try to do much. It’s quick, tense, and easy to restart. If the last run ended badly, starting another one always feels reasonable.
