Color Jump is a colorful arcade-style game released in 2018 by Ketchapp, the same people who made tons of those quick mobile games you can’t stop replaying. It’s an arcade jumping game where all you really do is tap to make a ball jump but the twist is that the ball has to match the color of the platform you land on. It sounds simple, and it is, but it gets hard fast.
When you start Color Jump, there’s no tutorial or setup. You just tap, and your ball starts bouncing. Platforms come in different colors, and every so often your ball passes through a color gate that changes its color. If you land on the wrong color, you’re done. That’s the whole loop jump, switch, match, repeat. The pace slowly picks up, and before long you’re tapping like crazy trying to keep up. It’s one of those games where you think you’ll play for a minute, then realize you’ve been trying to beat your best score for twenty.
The best part of Color Jump is how quick everything feels. There’s no waiting, no loading screens you fall, hit restart, and you’re right back in it. The visuals are bright but not overdone, and the music has a nice rhythm that makes each bounce feel smooth. It’s simple enough for a quick break but still gives you that little rush every time you beat your last run.
