Enclose Horse is a puzzle game that launched at the end of 2025, with the first release on December 29. It was made by an independent developer who originally thought of it as an optimization puzzle, similar to challenges you’d see in Leetcode or Advent of Code. The idea turned out to be fun enough to build into a full game. The genre is puzzle with a light arcade feel, where each level is short but makes you think.
The controls are very basic. You place walls using the mouse or touch input. That’s it. There are no extra buttons or complicated actions. It works well on desktop and feels fine as a mobile game too, since everything is just tapping or clicking where you want a wall to go.
Each level gives an open area and a limited number of walls. The goal is to enclose the biggest possible space before you run out. The gameplay is about planning where walls should go, not speed. Early levels let you test ideas and see how different shapes affect your score. Later puzzles get tighter, and bad placement can ruin a good run fast. After finishing, the game shows your score and how it compares to others, which makes retrying feel worthwhile.
